On 20 February 2018, the CEO of the Sup4Nav Management Board participated in the meeting of the Working Group on National Intelligent Specialization No. 17 (KIS 17) (Intelligent Maritime Technologies), which took place at the Maritime University Training Center in Kołobrzeg.
The AVAL consortium had an oportunity to present the project during cycling workshops dedicated to ship maneuvering. The tradition of workshops dates back to the early nineties. In subsequent years maneuvering workshops transferred into a cyclical international conference organized under the name HYDMAN. The project presentation aroused considerable interest among participants representing universities and marine companies and institutions.
The next project meeting took place at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Bialystok University of Technology. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss integrated solutions of two main components of the AVAL technology: drones and autonomous ships.
The AVAL technology prototype will be tested on ships on the scale 1:25, before we start testing at sea. That is why AVAL project developers met in Ship Handling Research and Training Centre at Ilawa, which is owned by the Foundation for Safety of Navigation and Environment Protection: http://www.ilawashiphandling.com.pl/
