On 16-17.10.2018, the research team of the AVAL project carried out tests in field conditions of unmanned aerial vehicles and systems supporting their automatic flight. The tests were carried out in a separated and secured zone on the campus of the Białystok University of Technology.
The test object was a multi-spin helicopter powered by a rope-wire scaled scale and two key functionalities that must meet:
– tracking mode – aimed at following the moving an object to be supervised by the ship,
– precise landing mode – based on a radiolocation system, allowing precise indication of the position of the BSP in the local system, even in the absence of a satellite navigation signal.
